PEACE AND WELCOME TO J-LIVEMUSIC.COM, the homepage the world-renowned hip hop recording artist and performer J-Live. As an emcee, dee jay, producer and CEO of his aptly named company Triple Threat Productions, J-LiveÕs music has been a staple of inspiration for listeners of underground hip hop from New York to Cali and around the world. His discography spans over 10 years and includes three full length albums (The Best Part, All of the Above and The Hear After) as well as one EP (Always Will Be) a collection of earlier singles (Always Has Been) and countless guest appearances and features. In support of these records J-Live has toured around the country as well as Canada, the UK, Europe, Japan, and Australia.
It has been a long windy road full of peaks and valleys for J-Live in the music business. One could find the glass half empty or half full depending on your appetite for money fame and respect. You could admire his durability after lasting more than 10 years in the “game” Or you could feel the frustration of never making the transition from the underground to the charts. But as his ever growing fan base would attest, whether half empty or half full, the contents of the glass is a crystal clear flow that goes down smooth and rehydrates hip hop fans thirsting for the genuine article. After a two year hiatus, J-Live follows his last critically acclaimed full length “The Hear After” with a sneak attack in the form of a 6 song EP “Reveal The Secret” “I want this to feel like it came outa nowhere. I want the people that have it to feel special
you know. Let them spread the word that I’m back. Pass it on before the album drops. You know... let the cat out the bag, reveal the secret.”
Its no secret that J has worked with his fair share of elite producers in the past. And although this mini project is just a precursor, it is no different. Reveal the Secret features production by DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Spinna, Da Beatminerz, Marco Polo, B Money an Oddisee. “ My people have been dying for me and Spinna to get back in the lab. He’s been down since day one. We have a couple other joints on the album too” The album, titled “Then What Happened” is due out a little while later. But in the meantime, the EP will serve as a best foot forward, on J’s path to share his music with the world, breakout of obscurity and "Reveal the Secret"
